One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Linux Administrator to upgrade their Data Management platforms ensuring the ongoing security posture is maintained. The work will also undertake ongoing software development activities that comply to security standards. The role can be based in Canberra, Adelaide, or Melbourne as well as remote workas they offer flexible working arrangements. The successful Linux Administrator will be offered a contract until June 2024 with extension options.

The successful Linux Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Upgrading Linux Operating Systems across application platforms
• Implementing security hardening of applications and operating systems
• Reviewing Cyber Security Assessments
• Following Change Management and Cyber Security processes

The successful Linux Administrator will have experience in the following:

• Experience deploying Linux servers via Virtual environments
• Experience with Linux server hardening and firewall configurations
• Advanced Web Application configuration knowledge
• Familiarisation or experience with DevOps tools
