A supportive and prominent Federal Government Department is looking to an experienced Database Administratorto join a supportive team to plan and execute data migration of Oracle databases from on prem to AWS Cloud platform. The successful Database Administrator will secure an initial 6 month contract with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months aligned with a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Database Administrator (Oracle, Cloud Projects!) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Plan and execute data migration of Oracle databases from on prem to AWS cloud platform (including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS)
- Documenting Solutions
- Work with application project teams to provide expert advice and problem resolution support focused around cloud hosted databases including: Gathering requirements. Troubleshooting and providing advice.
The successful Database Administrator (Oracle, Cloud Projects!) will have experience in the following:
- Strong knowledge and experience across Oracle RDBMS, Solaris/Linux, NetApp Storage, PostgreSQL
- Demonstrated experience across cloud computing (AWS)
