About the Position
My client has created a new role for a Litigation Associate to join their growing Sydney CBD office. In the role, you will work with an experienced Partner and a Senior Associate. You will work on a variety of litigation disputes, involving breach of contract, breach of trust, property disputes, finance disputes, and wills and estates disputes. You will act for medium to large private companies, and Councils.
About You
You have a friendly personality and are a self-starter. You are able to pick things up quickly and can run with them. You are also looking to work in a boutique office environment in a collaborative team.
Duties
In the role, you will:
- Advise clients on a variety of commercial disputes.
- Regularly attend court.
- Draft documents for court.
- Draft correspondence to other parties and advices for clients.
- Help mentor a junior lawyer and work collaboratively with senior lawyers.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with:
- 3-4 years of post-admission experience.
- Experience in commercial litigation gained at a boutique or mid-tier firm.
