About the partner:
Leanne Walker is a highly regarded litigator who specialises in commercial dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on property and leasing based disputes, land contract disputes and access to land issues.
She has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including expert determination, mediation and arbitration. She acts for landowners, developers, builders, government authorities, owners corporations, local councils, and receivers and managers.
Leanne is extremely active in the sector and is a member of the UDIA NSW Land Development Committee. Acting in partnership with the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (AIC), Leanne also provides strategic advice and represents its members (and their clients) and has developed a reputation as a leading adviser on strata disputes and land disputes. She is also recognised as a go to lawyer (or appointed expert) for property issues arising in family law disputes.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to work in an established property practice specialising in commercial and property disputes.
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents
- Conducting research
- Liaising with potential new clients and existing clients
- Attending client appointments
- Assisting with litigation files and court attendances
- Assisting with drafting marketing articles
- Filing and other administrative work
- Have at least 5 years PAE in Commercial litigation or property litigation, gained in private practice;
- Be keen to work on a wide range of Commercial litigation matters;
- Be able to run litigation matters autonomously, with little supervision;
- Have excellent communication skills;
- Be a team player who is flexible and adaptable.
