Are you an experienced legal administrator looking for a change or transition into part time (school hours) work?
In this diverse and challenging part time role you will help the legal team in our Rockhampton office with all administrative activities associated with a case file.
This maternity leave contract role is offered on a part-time basis – during school hours Monday to Friday.
What you will do:
- Providing administrative support associated with a case file work – including opening, closing and archiving files, transcribing interviews, filing and service of documents, data entry and searches
- Assisting with preparing for matters including preparing correspondence, keeping detailed file notes, gathering personal information, drafting affidavits and preparing summons/subpoenas
- Compiling briefs for counsel including photocopying, indexing, typing instructions and collection of relevant police material from the police station or prosecutions
- Assisting lawyers prioritise daily tasks and maintain appointments and calendars
You will have:
- Demonstrated legal administration experience and the ability to work independently
- Ability to type with accuracy and speed and use information technology including the Microsoft suite
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
