ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Livestock Hand working in a small team, you will be exposed to a wide variety of work, whilst focussing on the following key responsibilities:
- Day to day activities such as pen riding, livestock movements, drafting, induction, processing and hospital treatments
- Data entry and accurate record keeping using specialist feedlot systems (StockAid)
- Ensure that cattle health, wellbeing, and performance are thoroughly monitored each day in an efficient manner and in accordance with company protocols and procedures
- Ensure all livestock operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements, policy, procedure, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- General maintenance of all feedlot sites and facilities
ABOUT YOU
- You demonstrate experience in cattle handling and horsemanship experience and will need to supply at least two horses (up to seven) to be considered for the position
- A strong work ethic and great communication skills
- A keen attitude and willingness to learn
- On the job training will be provided to successful applicants with a can-do will-do attitude
