About the Role
Fletcher International is seeking a dedicated Livestock Coordinator to join the Livestock team based in Western Australia for our Albany/Narrikup processing site. This opportunity would suit someone who has grown up and been involved within the sheep industry and who is keen to develop their skills in logistics, transport coordination and livestock buying with an innovative, global business.
Initially, the role be supporting the Livestock Coordinator in their responsibilities for:
- Scheduling of stock deliveries; allocating loads to trucking companies based on availability, cost and configurations.
- Management of unforeseen changes in trucking schedules (breakdowns, natural events etc.)
- Keeping management informed of live position.
- Calculation and information sharing of livestock related costings.
- Visiting stockyards with delivery sheets/liaising with head stockperson.
- Liaising with production managers and internal farm managers.
- Liaising with external farmers on issues such as requests to sell stock, change delivery days, enquiries on price and requirements.
- Animal welfare compliance and liaising with onsite vet as required.
- Advising buyers of current position bought forward and discuss any issues (orders, specifications, lines etc.)
- Other pastoral practices and farming tasks (hands-on)
You will be a part of a small collaborative Livestock Team who have together over 60 years’ extensive knowledge and experience in working with our company and the sheep industry and Western Australian Operations and you will also have both the opportunity to have training at our WA Feedlot.

- Willing to learn from Livestock Buyers to purchase suitable lambs / sheep to meet our process needs.
- Integral reputation within the livestock producer community.
- Customer / relationship orientated.
- Motivated and organised with a hands-on approach.
- Respect and care for animals and their welfare.
- Flexible and openness to learn.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Good computer literacy skills and ability to pick up new systems.
