The role
Local Laws Officers contribute to the safety of the community through:
- provision of information, assistance and advice to the community
- administration, promotion and enforcement of Local laws, parking services and animal management – domestic animals and livestock
- undertaking regular patrols to ensure general compliance with Local Laws and relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a strong commitment to customer service, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- ability to manage your time and work without close supervision
- ability to interpret and enforce legislation, whilst working to an agreeable outcome where possible
- an understanding of the importance of record keeping
