AddressWe are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join a Private Hospital Team in Rockhampton, Qld.
The Position:
This role will work with a multidisciplinary patient care team to support our 20 bed Mental Health Ward and requires a psychologist with experience working with patients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and general life challenges.
The psychologist will work in a direct role providing integrated psychological interventions to patients in both our inpatient ward, outpatient day program and within our new team.
They will be responsible for delivery of comprehensive psychology services using evidence-based treatment strategies and participate in clinical decisions around treatment planning, assessment and risk management. They will also plan & facilitate mental health group programs for inpatient & outpatient day programs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current unrestricted registration with APHRA.
- A strong interest and experience working with adult mental health patients
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience with delivering service in an acute setting.
- Experience in a variety of evidence-based therapies including, but not limited to DBT, CBT and ACT
- A high degree of personal and professional integrity, with a professional approach to managing patients
- Strong, collaborative interpersonal communication skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- $70-85 per hour + Super
- Accommodation and Travel is provided.
- 8 Week Full Time Contract Available with an opportunity to extend
