About Toowoomba Hospital Foundation
First established in 1991, Toowoomba Hospital Foundation raises funds in support of Darling Downs Health through the provision of medical equipment, resources, facility enhancements, patient programs, staff training and development, and research across 29 hospitals and health service facilities.
About the role
As our Volunteer Manager you’ll be responsible for the coordination and management of our volunteers and volunteering programs across Darling Downs Health and Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.
This will include our volunteer support programs within the health service, our social enterprises, Museum, and fundraising events and activities.
You will be the first point of contact for our volunteers and new volunteer enquiries.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating the journey for all volunteers including attraction, recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, induction, uniform, recognition, development, and retention
- Working collaboratively and effectively with the Foundation team to provide support and supervision of volunteers
- Ensuring volunteer policies, processes, and procedures are up-to-date, relevant, and compliant
- Keeping of up-to-date records for all volunteers, this includes the creation of digital volunteer files, data entry, communication, rostering, and record keeping through volunteer management platform Better Impact
- Reviewing and monitoring of current volunteer programs to provide improvements, with the aim of growing our volunteer database and services
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and ability to build rapport quickly with others in a professional manner
- Exceptional client service capability with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful manner
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills with the capacity to balance multiple priorities
- Demonstrated high level computer literacy that includes Microsoft products and client management systems
- Current Australian Driver’s License
Experience in a similar volunteer management and coordination role is highly desirable. Qualifications in business administration, marketing, or publications is desirable but not required.
