The Opportunity
The Logistics Planning Officer will be responsible for supporting the Business Manager, through your high analytical and problem-solving skills, to maintain the mantra of “Never Run out”, ensuring our retail sites are continually supplied fuel, maintaining our high level of expectation for customer experience.
Who are we?
We operate a substantial wholesale fuels business trading under the Reliable Petroleum and Mogas Regional brands. Geographically we span across all South Australia, Western Victoria the Northern Territory and Western Australia. We have a diverse and well-balanced business that supplies both B2B and B2C segments across Retail, Agri-Business, Fishing, Transport and Mining.
We manage our in-house company-owned delivery fleet which is complemented by a contractor fleet working across the country. To complement our fuels business, we also supply a full range of packaged lubricants and refueling products including tanks and dispensing equipment.

The role will include:
Ensuring fuel stock levels over the OTR network of retail outlets are above the minimum levels.
Maintain positive operator relationships and monitor performance, offering creative solutions to maximising productivity and accuracy of deliveries.
Monitor fuel trend usage, call out anomalies and provide proactive solutions to mitigate risk.
Be involved in continuous improvement processes that improves operational efficiency.
Coordinate the allocation of loads to company fleet drivers or subcontractors.
Ensure all delivery schedules can be performed safely within the heavy vehicle driving hours stipulated under legislation and the NHVR.
Schedule vehicles considering vehicle servicing and repair requirements to maintain compliance with NHVR and legislative requirements.
Create a safe, efficient and sustainable delivery schedule.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Excellent English written and verbal communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to successfully interact with stakeholders to problem solve and achieve goals and influence.
Ability to interact and develop working relationships with all levels and areas of the organisation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy essential
Proactive and able to quickly adapt to the changing needs.
Strong to intermediate Excel skills
High level of organisational and time management skills
Demonstrate ownership of the role
