The Service and Planning Manager is directly responsible for planning and managing fleet repairs and maintenance, ensuring the delivery of excellent support and services to Symons Clark Logistics’ customers, clients, and stakeholders.
What you will be doing…
- Coordinating fleet servicing and maintenance activities, including managing and allocating resources to ensure agreed time, cost, quality, safety, and environmental targets are met.
- Lead weekly Service and maintenance schedule meetings with relevant operational department supervisors/ managers.
- Effectively communicate with operational teams for equipment availability.
- Work collaboratively with the Workshop Supervisors and Administration team to assist with effective planning.
- Responsible for conducting National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) maintenance compliance.
- Conduct daily check-in work requests/ MTData faults logged by Truck Operators.
- Identify business improvement opportunities to meet internal and external customer requirements and efficiencies.
- Receive and implement customer feedback to improve the quality of service provided.
- Actively lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Do you have…
- Previous experience working in a Service and Planning Manager role, or equivalent experience, ideally within the Transport industry.
- Completion of a Heavy vehicle Trade Certificate.
- Knowledge of Kenworth Prime Movers.
- Knowledge of Tippers (Hamelex White, Lusty and Robuk).
- Good knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and professionally across departments.
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
- Confidence using the Microsoft Office Suite.
