The Role
Are you experienced in fuel logistics and scheduling in a fast-moving work environment? A position currently exists for a Logistics Supervisor to work as part of our APCO logistics team in a full-time, permanent role.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager; the Logistics Supervisor’s core responsibility is to efficiently schedule our bulk fuel fleet to our APCO network currently spanning 28 sites across Victoria, NSW and soon in SA.
Key responsibilities:
- Daily load planning meeting in-ground fuel targets;
- Reconciliation of all fuel purchased and delivered;
- Effective supervision of drivers including rostering and leave coverage;
- Ensuring vehicles are maintained and present for service when scheduled;
- Ensuring drivers remain fully compliant with driving hour regulations and breaks;
- Maintenance of all driver and vehicle records including licensing;
- Working with the Logistics Manager, drive improvement through the refinement of scorecards;
- Supporting continuous improvement undertakings; and
- Other administrative tasks relating to the logistics department as required.
To be successful, we require:
- Previous experience in transport planning and allocation, preferably in the bulk fuel transport industry;
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations, e.g. drivers work hours, weight limits, Hazardous Goods, EBA etc;
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other transport management systems;
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends as required;
- Proficient in English with excellent written skills and demonstratable experience developing processes and procedures;
- Prior experience in implementing new systems highly valued.
