The Opportunity
Silk has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time experienced Supervisor to join our new site operations. The Supervisor will be managing 10+ employees
Day Shift
- Organising daily / weekly tasks for your direct team
- Providing support and training for direct team members
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to within the operation
- Reporting any hazard and near misses or unsafe behaviours
- Providing superior customer service for designated key contacts
- Ensuring compliance with Work, Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and legislative requirements
- Organising transport pickups in line with customer requirements
- Supervising a team responsible for the preparation and loading of outbound orders
- Ensuring Pallets/Cages and consumables levels are maintained
- Responsible for pallet control tools and paperwork (Chep/Loscom/Auspost portals)
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Demonstrate team leadership skills and the ability to drive results
- Experience in receiving and demand planning
- Certificate II or III in logistics / supply chain (Desirable)
- Strong communication skills with an ability to talk to different stakeholders
- A proven track record of continuous improvement and implementing innovative workplace processes to address workplace challenges
- A proven safety-first approach above all else
- Previous experience using Chep/Loscom/Auspost portals would be advantageous
- Ability to lead by example and drive change
