We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Logistics / Booking Coordinator. This role, comprising 38 hours per week, is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our funeral services by efficiently managing bookings, personnel, vehicles, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm funeral bookings.
- Coordinate appropriate staffing, vehicles, and equipment for each service.
- Facilitate the transfer of clients into our care.
- Collaborate with the team to action daily plans and ensure task completion.
- Provide clear communication and instructions to ensure timely task execution.
- Develop department rosters and assign tasks effectively.
- Liaise with external agencies including hospitals, Metropolitan Cemeteries Board, and Coroners office
- Oversee equipment maintenance and promptly address repair needs.
- Coordinate and resolve issues as they arise.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics/administrative roles.
- Previous experience in people management preferred.
- Background in general administration.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with diverse individuals.
- Proven record for delivering excellent customer service.
- Quick problem-solving skills with adaptability in approach.
- Ability to multitask and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and ownership in managing funeral logistics.
