About the Role

As a LTM Case Manager your focus will on claims from 70 - 130 weeks', working within a team on your own portfolio to manage claims as well as, collating information so that the Case Manager can make a determination in line with second entitlement review. 

As a Case Manager you will provide needs-based services to people with work related injuries as well as be responsible for:

  • Active management of claims for compensation to deliver appropriate and timely treatment and promote return to work,
  • Ensuring injured workers receive entitlements in accordance with the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013,
  • Liaising with injured workers, and their employers and treating practitioners to facilitate and support medical management and return to work activities.

You will assist and support injured workers return to work through the delivery of person centred case management to ensure entitlements to compensation are made appropriately. Dealing with internal and external stakeholders is paramount to strong and sustainable outcomes. 

To be successful in this role you will have experience:

  • Assessing and determining liability of claims.
  • Preparing for, attending and performing at claims reviews highlighting your excellent claims strategies, results and
    communicating further with your stakeholders.
  • Assist workers return to work and manage chronic ill health through person centred case management.
  • Ensure entitlements to compensation are made appropriately and timely.

Required Expertise

  • Experience as with VIC Workers Compensation Scheme, ideally in Return to Work or Long Term Case Management
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Decision making, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with different IT applications.
