This person is required to provide leadership, coordination and support to all Departments to ensure the attainment of production, quality/FSQA, Workplace Health and Safety and other objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Participate and complete the necessary on and off the job training in order to become a fully qualified fitter.
- Attend Tafe as required.
- Ensure that all work meets all safety requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations/standards.
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by completing effective and efficient preventative maintenance.
- Complete tasks to a high standard while managing and adhering to timelines.
- Complete tasks ensuring effective monitoring, repair and maintenance.
- Identify faults & take corrective action on all associated equipment.
- Continuous improvement of plant and equipment.
- Maintain workshop and job housekeeping standards.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to be receptive to instructions and feedback.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- A general understanding of maintenance work management practices.
- A general understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
- A general understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
