Maxima, and the City of Adelaide, are looking for a driven individual to undertake a dual qualification Diesel Mechanic and Auto Electrician Apprenticeship.
This 5-year opportunity will see you receiving allocated work time to complete a paid, dual qualification where you will initially complete a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (3 years) AND then roll into a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (2 years).
Day-to-day you will also gain practical, industry experience alongside experienced supervisors and have a dedicated Maxima Consultant for continuous mentoring.
Upon successful completion you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to diagnose, repair and service automotive vehicles and their electrical components. For the right candidate, there is the potential to stay on as a permanent staff member.
Duties Include:
- Service fleet and machinery
- Diagnostics of faults and troubleshooting
- Repair hydraulic and fuel injection systems
- Test and repair electrical circuits
- Assess hybrid and battery vehicles
- Passionate about the automotive industry
- Loves working hands-on and outdoors
- Committed and willing to learn
- Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable
- Efficient problem solving and time management skills
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Physically fit to undertake manual tasks
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
