About the Role:
Our client, a small business in the manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our production process, including but not limited to raw materials handling, measuring, batching, mixing, blending, bottling, labeling, packaging, and occasional forklift duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle raw materials in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines
- Accurately measure and batch materials as required for production
- Operate machinery for mixing, blending, bottling, labeling, and packaging products
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, particularly when working with hazardous materials
- Keep accurate records of production activities and materials usage
- Work with a small team
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when required
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Have own transport and hold a valid forklift license
- Strong understanding of production processes and machinery
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, particularly when handling hazardous materials
- Ability to accurately measure and batch materials according to specifications
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
