Machine Operator / Sheetmetal Worker

Architectural Roofing & Wall Cladding has been operating for the past 25 years. A specialist in high-end design, manufacture and installation of copper, zinc and aluminium products, we are now on the lookout for a Sheetmetal Worker / Machine Operator to join our Hornsby team.
We have numerous roles for qualified Machine Operators and Sheetmetal Workers for our workshop based in Hornsby. The successful applicants will fabricate and operate new CNC Machinery producing building systems for residential and commercial projects across Australia.
The main tasks include but are not limited to;
Reading and interpreting shop drawings.
Fabrication and assembly of light gauge materials such as zinc, copper, aluminium and stainless steel.
Operate sheetmetal machinery such as guillotines, folders, benders, CNC Laser + Turret machines and plant equipment.
Requirements;
Ability and experience operating machinery such as CNC, Brake Press, and Manual Folders.
Completed trade certificate in sheetmetal (light fabrication) or relevant experience in general steel fabrication.
Light gauge steel fabrication.
Valid Drivers licence.
Forklift Licence (preferred, but not essential).
Strong in following WHSE practices
In return, you will be rewarded with a good salary package of $75,000 - $90,000 pending experience plus the advantage of working with an experienced and professional team. Fast-paced environment but very rewarding with overtime and bonuses in place. Training and development are also encouraged.
