WesTrac are looking for a dynamic Workshop Supervisor to join our Machine Shop in the South Guildford.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful individual will play an integral role in leading a team of trades people and overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the Workshop to meet production and quality targets for the business. This individual will be responsible for engaging with the Workshop Team daily to ensure KPI's are met and delivered, effectively monitoring work order management, inspecting the performance levels of machining outputs, provide technical guidance and advice, planning daily duties for the team and meeting with key stakeholders throughout the business.
Location: South Guildford
Roster: 5/2 10.5hrs (Monday to Friday, Permanent Full-Time)
To be successful the following is required:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate with Caterpillar equipment and machinery experience (preferred)
- Solid machining operation, project management, production or related industry experience
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Leading Hand or equivalent
- Team management and conflict resolution
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively troubleshoot issues
- Engage, support and mentor team members to achieve development and performance goals
- Proactive focus on safety and contribute to continuous improvement
