With the growth of the farm Myobie, we are looking for extra support in the form of a Permanent Machinery Operator.
Myobie is situated around the township of Dalby 130 km west of Toowoomba with land 40 km north of Dalby on the Cooranga creek and 20 km south of Dalby along the Moonie Highway. Myobie consists of 9,077 arable ha and produces dryland cotton and winter cereals.
The full-time team of 8 is extremely passionate about agriculture, the machinery and crop growing. They love sharing this passion within the team, but also in the broader Dalby community. The Farm Manager is collaborative in his approach and enjoys giving people responsibility and accountability.
There is accommodation available on farm, but we would also be open to candidates who want to stay in their own accomodation and travel.
Job DescriptionWhat does a Machinery Operator at Warakirri Cropping do?
- You will be operating farm machinery, including but not limited to, tasks associated with spraying, paddock preparation, planting, spreading, cartage and harvest.
- At Warakirri Cropping you get to work with the newest equipment and innovative technology and using these, you will observe and monitor crop health and progress.
- Assisting with the testing and recording of contton and grain quality as well as the safe storage and handling of grain during and post-harvest.
- The most important thing, if you want to learn something, just ask!! Warakirri Cropping is all about helping our staff development and are always open to our staff learning new things.

- You can be a junior in the industry OR have a demonstrated track-record of employment in a cotton or dryland/broadacre cropping operation with operating large-scale cotton or cropping plant and equipment. We will support your development depending on your experience level.

- You have a current driver’s license.
- You have a current chemical user’s certificate and/or truck license or, you are open to obtaining one through us.
