Afkos Industries is a leading company in the manufacturing of Hydraulic and Exploration products. Due to increased production and high demand for products there are opportunities for  Centre Lathe Machinist 

and

 A fantastic opportunity is available for experienced and enthusiastic CNC  Operators to come on board and learn to manufacture drilling products 

We require people of any age to work on jobbing work in the field of hydraulic engineering and drilling exploration

In a modern workshop and facilities.

Applicants must have good work ethic, the ability to work with minimal supervision and have extensive experience with the operation of manual machines:

Conventional Lathe / Manual Milling Machine / Horizontal Borer / Radial Drills / Cylindrical Grinder / CNC Siemen Controls 

KEY ACTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for machining, milling, drilling and other duties as requested, which include

• Machining as per drawings along with engineering instructions.
• Boring and Drilling to close tolerances.
• Internal/External Thread Cutting, ensuring the thread is cut accurately.
• You need to program, set and run machines. You would be responsible for the overall operation of the machine, its productivity and standard of work produced, Very good to have experience with Siemen controls 
• Understand and adhere to strict safety measures.
• Considerable experience with Manufacturing and Repairing Hydraulic Cylinder.
• Carry out production requirements as shown on Job Sheets and Manufacturing instructions, and as directed. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role you must:

• Trade Certificate in First Class Machining.
• Competent in using Conventional lathes & Conventional milling machines
• Read, understand and manufacture to engineering drawings with Metric & Imperial sizes.
• Required to have your own basic tools of the trade in Machining.
• Be able to pass routine Police Clearance and Drug and Alcohol screening.
• Must be flexible and willing to work both day/night shifts when required.

This is a permanent position with an attractive salary package and consistent overtime is available whereby an average week is 40 -45 hours per week.

Head Office and Factory is based in Balcatta.
