Position:                                      

We are seeking an experienced MetalMachinist (first class) with exceptional engineering skills and technical knowledge to undertake machining of engine components.  You will play a crucial role in providing professional technical support, service, and repairs for CPG’s product range. This is a full-time position.

Sets up and operates machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct machining on engine components. 
• Operate a range of machining tools for heavy duty engine components. 
• Supervise and mentor apprentice trade employees in relation to machining skills
• An interest in working with heavy-duty machinery 
• Work independently with confidence, demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills.
• Able to work from engineering drawings
• Uphold a commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety best practices.
• Collaborate with our team to maintain a "Can Do" attitude and contribute to our dynamic work environment.
• A commitment to meet study requirements to obtain your trade upgrade

Qualifications:

• Qualified and experienced Level 3 Metal Machinist 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Thorough understanding of Health and Safety best practices.
