Full-time Metal Machinist Required

Position:
We are seeking an experienced MetalMachinist (first class) with exceptional engineering skills and technical knowledge to undertake machining of engine components. You will play a crucial role in providing professional technical support, service, and repairs for CPG’s product range. This is a full-time position.

Sets up and operates machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct machining on engine components.
- Operate a range of machining tools for heavy duty engine components.
- Supervise and mentor apprentice trade employees in relation to machining skills
- An interest in working with heavy-duty machinery
- Work independently with confidence, demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills.
- Able to work from engineering drawings
- Uphold a commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety best practices.
- Collaborate with our team to maintain a "Can Do" attitude and contribute to our dynamic work environment.
- A commitment to meet study requirements to obtain your trade upgrade
Qualifications:
- Qualified and experienced Level 3 Metal Machinist
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Thorough understanding of Health and Safety best practices.
