We are looking for a Rail Track Machines Mechanical Fitterto play a key role within the Rail division.

This role is a great opportunity to expand your career and break into the very niche rail industry working in the Inland area of the Pilbara within our Dampier Operations. Working a fly in fly out 8 days on and 6 days off roster from Perth, reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful candidate’s duties will include:

• Conducting scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to RTIO rail network assets, including but not limited to: ViaCar MFBW, Plasser & Thuerer Track Machines, Pettibones, Volvo, Bobcat surface mobile equipment and small light engines. Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects – increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
• Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, corrective work identified correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification

What you’ll Bring

• Safety must be your highest priority
• Driven, proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude
• Relevant trade certificate (Mobile Plant mechanic)
• Hold a WA C Class driver’s license & HR license
• Exposure to Hydraulics, with an ability to interpret hydraulic schematics to assist in fault finding
• Pneumatics experience
• Auto electrical experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with good fault-finding abilities
• Team player, ability to mentor
• High level of attention to detail
• Continuous improvement mindset
