About the role
OSA invites Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced candidates and for the role of Maintenance Controller.
Reporting to the Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control (HAAMC), the Maintenance Controller provides the OSA Helicopters Australia Air Operator's Certificate with the regulatory responsibility for the continuing airworthiness management of the Company's fleet of helicopters. The Maintenance Controller is a key role in the Technical Services team ensuring that all regulatory and commercial requirements of the OSA Australia operation are managed effectively.
- A visible safety champion who will challenge unsafe acts and pursue improvements in safety culture and behaviour.
- The control of all maintenance activities carried out on OSA aircraft, either scheduled or unscheduled, including aircraft technical records, component maintenance and weight and balance.
- The development, organisation and supervision of all activities and procedures as detailed in the Maintenance Control Manual and Aircraft Systems of Maintenance.
- Assessment of Airworthiness Directives, Alert Service Bulletins, Engineering Orders and other technical instructions.
- Review of reliability data outputs and incorporation of maintenance learnings within the system of maintenance
- The reporting (as required) and investigation of defects in the aircraft that occur in flight or are discovered during maintenance.
- Review and oversight of aircraft records and certification(s) of maintenance documents
- Provide support and direction to the Approved Maintenance Organisation where required.
- Developing highly effective & productive relationships with key stakeholders both internal and externally.
- Engineering degree or proven experience as a LAME is essential.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Controller is preferable.
- Experienced in understanding regulations related to aircraft maintenance.
- Demonstrate the required knowledge and understanding of CASA regulations.
- Demonstrable knowledge of recent continuing airworthiness management expertise.
- A team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a dynamic workload.
- Able to meet the necessary criteria to be formally accepted by the Regulatory Authority.
- Broad aviation experience is advantages.
- Flexible and adaptable approach in meeting business demands.
- Able to travel interstate as required.
