An interesting and exciting opportunity has arisen within a privately owned organisation with large and specialised facilities across a flagship precinct within Canberra. The electrician job vacancy will ensure the reactive and preventative maintenance of the precinct are kept to a high standard whilst adhering to the company safety requirements.
Your new role In your new role you will be responsible for: undertake the provision of technical support when required to for repair of lighting problems. ensure all work carried out is completed in a professional, safe and efficient manner. carry out maintenance and repairs to precincts as required. assist with maintenance of access gates or doors. undertake the provision of technical support to the Operations Officers daily to ensure all systems are either operating or reported as required. provide technical advice and assistance to inspectors during annual audits, to ensure all observations or defects are fixed, reported, or have been exempted. undertake the provision of technical support, supervision, and upgrade projects. undertake the maintenance and administration, operational, mobile, and base radio stations by Operations staff. undertake and provide first line breakdown maintenance. Aid remote contract staff to analyse faults and decide on best practice to repair. investigate, diagnose, and repair where possible most problems experienced with the equipment. undertake and provide supervision to sub contracted services as required. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following. Hold an ACT Electrical licence or equal (ESSENTIAL) Demonstrated experience in the electrical field. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite including outlook for calendar appointments and professional email correspondence. A current driver’s licence White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness Qualifications in boom lifts, EWP’s, working at heights are highly desirable. Be able to obtain a security clearance (NV1 or baseline highly desirable) The ability to do on call duties What you'll get in return In return for your hard work, you will get.
