About the role
This role is a Permanent 8:6 dayshift roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville.
Cannington Mine is currently seeking Maintenance Engineers to join their team. The role involves leading continuous improvement efforts, conducting investigations, and providing condition monitoring services specifically for Mobile Maintenance. A vital part of the role is to identify and execute improvements that enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve reliability while supporting the Mobile Maintenance Execution team.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Maintenance, other key role responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Use business systems and personal leadership to demonstrate and deliver health, safety and environment standards across the team
- Owner of improvement within Mobile Maintenance and implementer of ideas/actions to increase maintenance efficiency and quality or reduce risk or cost.
- Cultivate a team culture of problem-solving, communication and continuous improvement.
- Support the Superintendent to drive required work standards across execution team members
- Review condition monitoring reports and raise relevant notifications to action. Perform ad-hoc analysis when required.
- Identify and perform CNN Lvl1 Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Identify & implement actions that will eliminate or reduce the risk of the root cause
About You:
- Demonstrated leadership attributes and flexible communication styles
- Relevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in engineering, improvement & root cause analysis will be desirable
- Understanding and experience in using a CMMS, SAP preferred
- Computer literacy (word, excel, powerpoint)
Qualifications for this position are:
- Mining Supervisor Qualification S123/G189
- Relevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in engineering, improvement & root cause analysis will be desirable
