The Opportunity
Thiess has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance (Field) Superintendent at Curragh North.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient running of day-to-day field maintenance operations as well as;
- Assuring the quality of maintenance work to ensure that reliable plant and equipment are available for project operations
- Providing focused and effective leadership to the Field Maintenance Supervisors
- Working closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure maintenance and production objectives align
- Oversee, plan and control all short and long term field maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Manage and coordinate team's activities by setting performance objectives and allocating appropriate resources
- Ensure comprehensive records are established and maintained to assist decision making
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve reliability and availability levels
- 8/6 roster
- FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO allowance provided

- Mechanical Degree or relevant Trade Qualification
- At least 5+ years' experience in a similar role within the mining industry
- Familiarity with Maintenance Management System JDE
- Accounting and budgeting skills, including ability to monitor costs in line with budget requirements
- Experience with maintenance planning, contract management and asset management
- Effective communication and people management skills
