Maintenance Fitter

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our Kensington based team.To meet the responsibilities of our role you will need to be able to:Address and resolve issues associated with planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in our food production plant
Pursue the continuous improvement of our plant equipment and systems
Work closely with management in relation with maintenance and equipment issues
Apply a planned and preventative approach to maintenance
Have a clear focus on quality and safety
You will also need:Trade qualifications
A thorough knowledge and understanding of food quality and safety procedures
Experience in a relevant maintenance and repair environment, preferably food or beverage
A sound knowledge of basic electrical components and possess a disconnect/connect license
Good fault finding skills and a sound knowledge in pneumatics
General machining and fabrication skills
Ability to apply initiative and strong problem solving skills while working autonomously or in a team
