About the Role
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to operate out of our Dandenong Major Hazard Facility. The role is full time and permanent and will be rostered to support both day and afternoon shift production requirements.
The role reports to Maintenance Manager, with close working relationships with production, engineering, planning and logistics teams
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintenance & repair of medical and industrial gas handling, storage filling and manufacturing operation
- Oxygen and Nitrogen manufacturing
- Carbon Dioxide manufacturing
- Acetylene manufacturing
- Dry Ice production
- Hydrogen production
- Argon and Helium handling
- LPG
- Site based role dedicated to Major Hazard Facility Site.
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance of gas separation and production plants, filling activities, liquified gas bulk storage and transport.
- Ensure that all work, is carried out using the work permit system.
- Assist with drafting and updating of Supagas maintenance procedures.
- Assist in ensuring that all spare parts are ordered, stored and catalogued.
- Support 24hour/7day operations through best practice maintenance. Note a requirement of the role is to provide on call support on a rostered basis.

- Trade qualified as mechanical fitter or related trade.
- General understanding of gases, gas production and cylinder filling.
- Hold a valid forklift and motor vehicle licence.
- Experience working with dangerous goods (Major Hazard Facility experience would be highly regarded but not essential).
- Experience working with pumping systems (cryogenics and/or experience with LPG).
- Experience working with a computerised maintenance management system (MEX experience highly regarded).
- The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
