About the opportunity
Our esteemed client stands as a prominent supplier of distinctive products tailored for the mining sector, catering to the needs of some of Australia's largest mining enterprises. With sustained expansion across their operations, they are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Maintenance Fitter to join their ranks. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Production Manager, requires the successful candidate to be responsible for all maintenance and repair tasks concerning the company's machinery, with working hours scheduled from 4:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Deliver efficient maintenance, servicing, and proactive upkeep of plant and equipment.
- Guarantee the fabrication of diverse plant and equipment in accordance with specified requirements.
- Keep up-to-date records as required.
- Promote a constructive work atmosphere aligned with the Core Values of our host.
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
- Prior experience in this role or a comparable position
- Sound knowledge of pneumatic systems
- Confidently interpret engineering drawings
- Proficient in welding
