We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the maintenance department out at the Carmichael Mine in the Galilee Basin in regional Queensland. This is an exciting project and will require someone who can not only manage a large maintenance department, but also assist us to continually improve on our services to ensure success.
Becoming a valued manager of the site Leadership Team, you will build and lead a highly skilled and productive team that ensures targets are met or exceeded. Developing the strategic and operational maintenance plans, your focus will be on continuous improvement of the safe and cost effective maintenance of all equipment, as well as working with the client and management team to deliver operational outcomes. Bringing with you experience in working for a principal contractor, you will understand how to negotiate and influence the client to maximise the outcomes for Mackellar.
This role will be a 5/2/4/3 roster, with travel out of Rockhampton or Townsville only.
Applicants must have:
- Trade certificate in Plant Mechanics or equivalent as well as at least 10 years of previous experience and demonstrated success within a similar role
- Current Mining Supervisor – G1, G8, G9 & G2
- Queensland Coal Board Medical (we can assist you to obtain)
- Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
- Queensland driver licence
- Senior First Aid certificate (HTLAID003) (or willingness to obtain)
