Form of workReporting to the General Manager, The Melbourne Hotel is seeking a professional and motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee the Maintenance Department. This position is a hands on role which will see you engaged in all maintenance related activities within the hotel.
About the role:
- Carry out daily plant and systems inspections, record and report all mechanical issues.
- Manage, implement and carry out work trace systems in all hotel areas.
- Carry out and perform preventative maintenance and oversee Building Management Systems including Fire Protection systems.
- Record and track all programmed maintenance.
- Paying attention to detail ensuring the property is maintained and presented to the highest standards.
- Provide effective communication with all relevant departments, managers and external contractors.
- Perform onsite emergency maintenance tasks when required.
- Maintain direct lines of communication with the property owners.
About you:
As a self-motivated, passionate and focused individual you will possess the following attributes:
- Previous experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Experience in computerised building management systems, fire prevention systems and compliance.
- Possess a Trade qualification in mechanical or building services is advantageous.
- Have strong administrative and computer proficiencies along with effectively managing internal and external working relationships.
- Be able to carry out emergency maintenance tasks outside normal working hours.
- Possess exceptional organisational skills and be able to effectively plan and prioritise.
- A strong team player who is responsible and reliable at all times.
