Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in maintaining safety, enhancing efficiency and ensuring reliability. You will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the smooth operation of equipment and facilities within the production process.
About the Role
- Manage the regular maintenance of equipment and facilities, identify potential issues and prioritise repair activities to minimise disruptions to production schedules.
- Implement strict safety protocols for the handling, storage and transportation of explosives in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, including the development and delivery of training to mitigate risk.
- Manage a comprehensive maintenance budget including forecasting equipment lifecycles, repairs, and upgrades while optimising asset management.
- Develop contingency plans and protocols to identify potential hazards and support emergency responses.
- Maintain all asset and maintenance records, data and performance measures as required by the Commonwealth.
- Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to increase reliability and reduce costs, while adopting innovative protocols.
About You
As a person with highly developed interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to lead a team, possess a passion for maintaining operational excellence and drive continuous improvement.
Key requirements:
- Expertise in the Defence Explosive Ordnance sector would be highly desirable including:
- Systems Engineering process and principles (EIA-632).
- Configuration Management process and standards (EIA-649).
- Risk Management (AS/NZS 4360).
- Diploma or a Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant experience and first aid certificate.
- Understanding of EO MTDS including manufacturing, storage, maintenance, transport, SSS/IIS trials, support, surveillance, disposal.
