An exciting opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Officer to join Toowoomba's multi-services team. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer to assist the team in delivering our Home Services program for older Australians.
This position requires a positive and compassionate attitude with good time management and organisational skills. You must be able to work closely with all teams across the organisation, with a like-minded focus for continual improvement of the client's experience (internal & external) through efficient processes.
Key attributes in this role include high standard of service delivery to clients, excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and communication skills both written and verbal, and the capability to promote good interpersonal relationships, demonstrate open communication and have a team approach towards clients, staff, carers and service providers.
In your position you will be required to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Deliver professional and timely maintenance services to clients
- Understanding of the requirements specific to each client
- High level ability to deliver quality maintenance services
- Ability to maintain currency of knowledge of program specifications
- Manage records relevant to the delivery of service and client data
- Work collaboratively with clients, staff and other contractors
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the review and delivery of the services
- Handyman/general maintenance experience
- Sound computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Blue Card & NDIS Worker Card
- A current open Drivers Licence
- Have the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, be flexible and systematic
- Effective time management skills
- High level knowledge of WHS and keeping self and others safe in the work environment
- High level interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a multifunctional team and to interact with a broad cross-section of community groups and people
- Possess empathy and understanding of the needs of our elderly and disabled clients and their carers.
