Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working in Residential Aged Care
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, staff, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Problem-solving skills to address maintenance issues and find effective solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards related to maintenance and safety.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting residents' needs and promoting their wellbeing.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and emergencies.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment relevant to maintenance tasks, such as carpentry tools, painting supplies, and power tools.

Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating suppliers and contractors:
- Ensure completion of the Contractor ‘Preventative Maintenance Schedule’
- Review / Renew Contractor Service Agreements
- Monitoring the cost performance of contractors
- Review contractor Insurances, Police checks WWVP etc.
- Maintain the Contractor and Supplier register
- Coordinating New / Special projects (including quotations and financial approvals)
- Hands on maintenance
- Ensure Facility compliance with WHS, Environmental, and other legislative requirements
- Stock & equipment ordering from Suppliers e.g. cleaning products, Aged Care equipment
- Identify opportunities to enhance the facility through innovation, capital expenditure, and contractor communications
- Coordinate maintenance of the facilities ICT systems including Security, CCTV, Access control, Air-conditioning, CBUS lighting control
- Identify Environmental improvements and new approaches to enhance resident wellbeing
- Maintain weekly minutes as required by the FC role
- Maintain a Facility Risk Register and MSDS register
- Facilities reporting requirements associated with Aged Care Standards.
- Assist with Emergency Management, including emergency responses and escalation plans
- Develop policies and procedures in order improve the performance of the facility
- Maintain senior level reporting and interaction through regular team meetings
- Perform hands-on repairs within the scope of qualifications and experience.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are followed as per the established timeline.
- Conduct work health and safety audits, environmental audits as required
Working Houres
Full-time - Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5 pm.
