About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Person to join our welcoming and friendly team on a Part-Time basis. Located at our Cleveland Manor Retirement Village, this role will allow you to utilise your knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
This role is integral in ensuring that our residents at the centre of everything we do, by ensuring exceptional professional and respectful service to those who call our beautiful village home.
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking general maintenance duties including plumbing work, painting, flooring repairs and upkeep, heating and air-conditioning system maintenance, and carpentry work
- Undertake the scheduled, preventative and responsive maintenance work
- Take part in an on-call roster for after-hour emergencies
- Organise any quotation for maintenance works or trades people
- Coordinate trades and services to ensure repairs occur in a timely manner
- Inspecting property regularly and assess maintenance issues
- Monitoring pest control
- Assist the Gardening and Cleaning staff for operational requirements and needs
- Follow all Workplace, Health and Safety standards and report any safety or security concerns
Essential Criteria
As part of the application process, you will be required to provide a National Police Check, proof of right to work in Australia, verification of identification and qualifications, and participate in pre-employment assessment.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in the industry
- Relevant industry qualification (desirable)
- Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Clean, neat, and tidy presentation
