We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Personto be based in Rockhampton.

To be considered for the role you must have the following:
- Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales and GP budgets
- Maintain weekly/monthly call cycle to ensure customer expectations are met
- Strong sales/business development acumen with the drive to grow the territory building new customer relationships whilst maintain existing accounts
- Customer focused with exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills, utilizing diverse methods and approaches tailored to specific audiences.
- Solid administrative, time-management and organizational skills
- Exhibits professionalism and integrity, honesty and self-discipline and ability to work autonomously.
- Strengths in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Existing relationships/strong networks across either Independent Supermarket groups, Independent H/Food stores will be an advantage
- Self driven with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Current C Class driver's license
Your new role will consist of a range of duties including but not limited to:
- generate and qualify leads
- source and develop client referrals
- prepare sales action plans and strategies
- schedule sales activity
- develop and maintain a customer database
- develop and maintain sales and promotional materials
- plan and conduct direct marketing activities
- make sales calls to new and existing clients
- develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
- negotiate with clients
- develop sales proposals
- prepare and present sales contracts
- conduct product training
- maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
- respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
- ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
follow up on sales activity - perform quality checks on product and service delivery
- monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
- carry out market research and surveys
- participate in sales events
- monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
- Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene
- Liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Practice safe work practices always
- Promptly report any accidents, incidences or near misses to management
- Undertake training as necessary and requested
- Maintain HACCP standards
- Maintain a good knowledge of products supplied by Mackay Food Services
- Perform other tasks as directed
