The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning all scheduled maintenance and repairs in line with current works and maximising operating profit through using planned maintenance where it is more effective than alternatives.
The Opportunity
- Oversee, manage and control the process plant, to achieve the operational outcomes of safety, quality, performance and cost
- Preparation, planning & implementation of maintenance schedules
- Developing long term maintenance plans on an 18, 6 and 3-month plan.
- Providing communication channels, interface and coordination between projects team and operations
- Liaise to address any proposed modifications to project scope, schedule or budget and influence to minimise changes.
- Identify changes in scope of work, ensure planning measures are taken with internal and external processes/clients to reassess renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities
- Provide Support to Maintenance department to ensure procurement is streamlined and minimise delays
- Set-up fortnightly plans with consultation with maintenance supervisors
- Construct Gantt charts for shutdown works and assist in executing plans
- Chair the following meetings for site - backlog review meetings - Shutdown requirement meetings
- FIFO from Perth Western Australia
- 2&1, 2&2, 8&6 (Dependent upon site)
What will I bring to the team?
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Able to plan multiple activities for remote areas with knowledge of logistical issues.
- A proactive approach with outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of maintenance planning philosophies.
- Microsoft Excel Advanced
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Shutdown/Maintenance Planning
- Significant experience in planning, scheduling and budgeting activities to establish maintenance development plans with strong analytical skills
- Experience with production activities on a mineral processing plant or similar
- This role requires certain physical demands and exposure to challenging environments.
