Annual salary : $87,734.40 - base annual salary of $79,040 p.a. ($40/hr) plus
Superannuation Contributions 11% ($8,694.40 p.a.)

POSITION PURPOSE
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring that production is not interrupted due to unscheduled machinery downtime. To achieve this, they need to understand the workings of the plant (operate), problem solve, carry out any breakdown maintenance requirements that may arise together with planned preventative maintenance activities.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES - include but not limited to
Reactive Maintenance
Be present on the production floor to problem solve mechanical, hydraulic or electrical issues
Reduce downtime of the machine by attending to remedial maintenance activities
Collect accurate data and information for entry into MEX regarding breakdowns to build a reliability picture; and
Participate in a call out roster.
Planned Maintenance
Work with Production Manager to carry out preventative maintenance activities according to schedule to ensure unplanned production downtime is minimised
Regularly attend prestart & toolbox meetings to communicate with production staff
Analyse data to help plan preventative & predictive maintenance activities
Participate in the planning and execution of modification, upgrades or new capital projects
Provide suggestions and advice to Maintenance, Production and Operations Managers where improvements and cost savings can be identified; and
Assist with technical information, knowledge, and diagnostic issues.
Quality
Help in the implementation and continuous improvement of relevant procedures and SOP's
Adhere to company policies and procedures; and
Promote continuous improvement activities and culture
SAFETY
Classified as a Worker under WHS legislation
Attend and participate in prestart & toolbox meetings to ensure items are addressed
Participate in and action relevant outcomes from risk assessments
Responsible for ensuring plant, equipment, tools and workshop housekeeping is maintained in an acceptable state.
Ensure implementation and adherence to all the safety principles and requirements of the Act
Promote a safety culture; and
Consult with management regarding any safety related issues
OVERALL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
Experience working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment in a similar sized company; and
Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification
