THE ROLE
Based in Perth, the primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to plan and develop maintenance schedules and long-term strategic maintenance plans for all the assets of the group. The Maintenance Planner will plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance and repair activities of the maintenance team and sub-contractors, as well as procure and coordinate resources. The Maintenance Planner must ensure compliance with all safety and statutory requirements for all the assets and activities of the maintenance team and sub-contractors. A strong background and hands-on experience in building maintenance, good problem-solving skills, and an understanding of the operation of plant and equipment will be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Develop maintenance and replacement strategies for all assets
- Regularly evaluate and update maintenance schedules to ensure maximum economic life of each asset is achieved
- Coordinate with tenants, construction management, maintenance teams, and sub-contractors to ensure minimum disruption and downtime
- Ensure necessary materials and labour are available prior to any shutdown maintenance
- Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance and repairs done per tenancy, equipment, and plant
- Develop preventative maintenance plans to maximize the life of plant and equipment
- Develop upgrade and refurbishment schedules and budgets, and quarterly reports of all expenditures
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Relevant experience in building, equipment, and plant maintenance with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience
- Exposure to the building construction and property industry
- Good understanding of the operation of construction plant and equipment
- Sound understanding of Asset Management principles and standards
- Experience in dealing with and communicating with tenants and property managers
- Background in property management would be preferable
- Good computer literacy, especially with Excel and Project Management Software.
