Across our Australian operations, we extract and process rich mineral sands into a range of valuable products including ilmenite, zircon, rutile and titanium dioxide pigment which are then exported to international markets.Our sites are part of the global operations of Tronox Limited, the world's leading integrated manufacturer of titanium dioxide.About the roleWe are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Maintenance Scheduler/Coordinator to join our team at our Cooljarloo Mine site, which is just out of Cataby in Western Australia.Our site is located 2hrs drive / 170km to the North of Perth CBD. This is a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) role where you will stay at our village with meals and accommodation provided whilst on site.This role is a 14 month Max term contractWorking a 9 day fortnight (WK1: Mon- Fri / Wk2: Mon - Thurs) you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our maintenance department by coordinating schedules, managing work orders, and optimizing resource allocation.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be accountable for
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections, to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and other team members to prioritize work orders based on urgency and importance.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work orders, track equipment history, and generate reports.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment and coordinate procurement as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules and minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules, procedures, and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide administrative support to the maintenance department, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and updating documentation.
- 3 years+ experience in a similar scheduling or coordindating role
- Mining, mineral sands, dredging experience (desired)
- Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent (desired)
- Experience in using SAP and MS projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
