D&R Henderson is looking for a full time Shift Fitter that has proven track record performing maintenance & break down work on industrial machines & plant. Work revolves around, but not limited to - mechanical fitting/machining, hydraulic repairs, fixed plant servicing and repairs to mobile plant.
The current roster implemented within this department is 7 x 12hour shifts in a 14 day cycle between day & Night shift rotations.
To be considered for this role you are required to have:
- Formal trade qualification - Mechanical Fitter
- Mechanical experience
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems.
- Physically fit
- A positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Be reliable and punctual
- Competent welder
- Knowledge of bearings and gearboxes
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Be able to work in Confined Space & Work at heights.
- Ability to follow Safe Work Practices and knowledge of OH&S standards expected in a manufacturing facility.
Desirably the successful applicants will have:
- Car license & reliable transport
- Any High-Risk Work License such as- Forklift, EWP, Rigging & Dogging would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in manufacturing
