About the Role
We're now looking for a reliable and dedicated Maintenance Fitter to become a valuable member of our dynamic team.
We operate at high-speed across multiple filling lines, boasting industry-leading PLC controlled machinery. Our clean and organized workplace sets the stage for innovative production.
As a Maintenance Fitter on the Afternoon Shift (15:00 - 11:06, Monday to Friday), you'll play a pivotal role supporting our entire operation. You'll gain exposure to automated filling and capping machines, as well as equipment like Palletisers, Labelers, and Case Packers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Prompt maintenance support for production lines
- Identify, resolve, and permanently repair mechanical issues
- Contribute to and execute preventative maintenance programs
- Maintain equipment and site infrastructure as per schedules
- Collaborate effectively within teams and autonomously
- Engage in cross-functional projects
- Set up machines and handle product changeovers on production lines
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A locally recognized Mechanical Trade Fitter Certificate
- FMCG manufacturing or related experience
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in fitting and turning, pneumatics/hydraulics, welding, and minor fabrication
- Basic computer skills for CMMS data entry
- TIG welding skills (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills
