Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 14D14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Fitzroy Crossing, Kununurra.
Fortescue are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Christmas Creek on a 2:2 roster. The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying issues and actioning maintenance rectification plans in Drill performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote rigorous compliance to Zero Harm principles on a daily basis such as ensuring that all works completed are adequately risk assessed and hazards mitigated and adequately controlled.
- Ensure all necessary maintenance inspections and audits of the assets are completed within allocated time frames.
- Ensure all maintenance plans are completed and work is carried out in a timely and satisfactory manner and to a high quality.
- Identify issues in Drill performance and work with the Reliability Engineers to create action plans to generate improvements in rectifying these faults to improve availability.
- Work with others to mentor/strengthen their performance and improve their skills in that area, as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
- Proven experience in Mobile Equipment maintenance and repairs
- OEM Technical Knowledge of Atlas Copco & CAT Drill Rigs; ability to adapt to other brands of Drills if required.
- Previous experience with Autonomous drill systems.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and alongside a team.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office and SAP highly desirable.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
