Form of workReporting to the Project Manager/SSE and a dotted line to the Regional Plant Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent will work back-to-back with another Superintendent and be accountable for the delivery of the annual maintenance targets with zero harm to employees and contractors, including technical advice to optimise equipment availability and reliability.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Manage the performance and availability of defined fleets of equipment to achieve both operational and financial company objectives
- Ensure that works being performed are done so in a safe manner, and in line with company HSE standards
- Liaise with stakeholders, including regular communication, planning and scheduling discussions, to meet with stakeholders’ requirements; and
- Manage and lead a maintenance department to achieve goals and objectives.
- 2+ years experience as a HME Maintenance Superintendent
- A strong commitment to safety leadership;
- Extensive knowledge and experience in mining or heavy earthmoving environments;
- Relevant nationally recognised trade qualification with significant experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu and Liebherr heavy earthmoving equipment;
- Experience in managing capital expenditure programs in relation to programming, cost control and allocation;
- Ability to deliver to deadlines and ensure operations are performed in accordance with company guidelines and cost targets;
- Demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills including effective negotiation with clients on complex issues;
- Experience in a contract mining environment and proven customer focus;
- Sound reporting and commercial acumen.
