Job Description
- Prepare and administer budgeting, planning, and implementation of site maintenance strategies.
- Advise and assist Maintenance Supervisors in developing and reviewing preventative maintenance schedules.
- Provide technical assistance to trades personnel for troubleshooting and daily operations.
- Review and recommend ongoing improvements to plant and equipment, enhancing efficiency.
- Offer engineering advisory to workshop personnel on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners to maintain accurate records of equipment specifications.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations by maintaining up-to-date drawings and records.
- Design and detail minor plant modifications to meet evolving operational needs.
- Support project teams in the design, installation, and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
- Advise management on staffing and training requirements to optimise team performance.
- Maintain comprehensive downtime records for production centres, driving continuous improvement.
- Uphold company safety regulations and report non-conformances in accordance with procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade.
- Leadership experience and a strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in CAD or similar systems, along with a high level of computer literacy.
- Expertise in hot oil, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, coupled with a practical understanding of mechanical handling and processing equipment.
