Primero is seeking experienced Mechanical Superintendent to work on a new Lithium Processing Plant located in Darwin on an ongoing roster pattern of 5 days on / 2 days off and 4 days on / 3 days off roster. This is a residential role in Darwin with relocation options available within Australia for suitably experienced candidates.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Advocate and maintain cost effective procedures to achieve optimum plant output, availability, reliability and performance.
* Develop and maintain effective Safe Work Instructions.
* Manage, control and supervise the site maintenance teams and establish a committed and focused team arrangement.
* Provide ongoing direction, mentoring, training and support to the maintainers and where appropriate to plant operators.
* Develop plant equipment "Life Cycle Plans" to ensure all PM work is carried out, maximising production and reducing down-time.
* Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports as directed.
* Assist in the organisation, planning, preparation and execution of plant shutdowns.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and relevant standards and codes.
* Ensure completion of all checks and inspections.
* Compliance with all Safety Rules and Procedures to ensure all work is always undertaken in a safe manner and participation in any Safety or Training initiatives identified and implemented by the Company and/or the Client.
ABOUT YOU
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a Maintenance Superintendent role in a Mining Industry Operations
* Excellent Safety Awareness & Values, ability to grow Safety culture within teams
* Confidence and Competence collaborating with Leadership & Management to ensure Safety, Production and Compliance outcomes are met or exceeded
* Alignment to the Primero Culture not Compliance philosophy
REQUIREMENTS
* C Class Driver’s Licence.
* Trade Certificate or Engineering Qualification.
* Minimum 8 years demonstrated previous experience within a Beneficiation Plant or similar Fixed Processing Plant environment with a minimum 4 years in a supervisory role.
* Knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.
