UGL Defence has recently commenced the Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract for the Defence Fuels Network. We are actively recruiting an NT based Operations & Maintenance Superintendent, to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.
The Role
The O&M Superintendent, reporting to the National O&M Manager, will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of various assets and sites throughout the NT.
- Lead, motivate and manage a small team of supervisors and approximately 30 trades and operators
- Manage the delivery of Operations and Maintenance in line with business plan
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of the Asset Management plans
- Take ownership of O&M budget performance and meaningfully contribute to annual business plan and contact status reporting
- Champion the best practice HSSE Management, UGL and Defence best practices and the One HSE Culture across all sites in region through promotion setting clear expectations
- Darwin based role with occasional travel required to sites; including local and Regional NT
About You
You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your extensive experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer while developing yourself personally and professionally. As an experienced O&M Superintendent you will have:
- Extensive experience working in the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or similar, with significant as a leader and manager
- Proven experience in the management and delivery of Operations OR Maintenance is essential, both would be highly regarded
- Prior experience in Defence Fuels will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
- Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
- Current holder or ability to obtain NV-1 security clearance
